    Interview Summary
    Rachel Kirschner (née Grünberg), born on August 27, 1928 in Czechoslovakia, discusses being taken with her family to Munkacs ghetto in April 1944; deportation to Auschwitz concentration camp where her parents and young sister were killed; internment in Bergen-Belsen, Mechlenberg, and Theresienstadt until liberation; death march; living in Pocking and Deggendorf displaced persons camps postwar; marrying a survivor in a DP camp; her infant son dying in 1947; and immigrating to the United States in 1949.
