    Genia Klapholz (née Flachs), born on December 6, 1912 in Wi?nicz, Poland, discusses fleeing Wi?nicz when the was ghetto established; paying a woman to hide her and her sister for eight days; returning to Wi?nicz; living in Bochnia ghetto for one year; terrible conditions in a uniform factory; seeing Tarnow Jews burned alive at Szebnie transit camp; working as a cleaning woman for three months; internment in Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp from 1942 to 1944; witnessing the hanging of four girls accused of causing a crematorium explosion; death march in January 1945; escaping and hiding with Poles in Silesia; liberation by the Soviets on March 28, 1945; living in displaced persons camps in Ainring, Regensburg, and Landsberg; and immigrating to the United States on February 21, 1948.
