    Jenny Sheiman (née Iungher), born on December 1, 1925 in Chisinau, Romania (present-day Moldova), discusses fleeing to multiple places in the USSR in 1940; the death of her mother; her deportation with her sister to Stalingrad; forced labor; returning to Poland postwar; crossing borders illegally; going over the Alps to Italy; and immigrating to the United States in 1946.
