    Susan G. Ziemer (née Brender), born on February 18, 1929 in Vienna, Austria, discusses her parents fleeing in 1938; being left with her grandmother and then foster parents; her foster father molesting her; internment in Theresienstadt from August 1942 to June 1944; internment in Auschwitz from June to August 1944; internment in Gross-Rosen and Christianstadt from August 1944 to February 1945; a forced march; escaping; living in Straubing, Deggendorf, and Bremerhaven postwar; and immigrating to the United States in January 1947.
