Vlasta Ryáčková (née Košvancova'), born in 1930 in Nove Kopisty, Czechoslovakia, describes attending school in Terezin until 1941; the establishment of the Jewish ghetto; witnessing the arrival of a transport of prisoners; the disposal of the corpses of Jews; her father transporting goods illegally into the ghetto; and the arrest of her family after the war and the local Jewish families that helped secure their release.
